Bronxville Modified/JV Wrestling Info & Contact Site
Hiya, Rick Contrata here...
I'm excited and looking forward to coaching the Bronville modified and JV wrestling teams.
When you join Bronville's team, you will achieve two goals... Get Better & Have Fun.
For all the new wrestlers; in case you were wondering what it's like to be a wrestler ...well, it's fun, exciting, rewarding and pays you back with skills you can use for your entire life.
These are some of the things you will feel as a wrestler:
.More confident, higher self esteem & secure about yourself.
.Better looking as you build muscle and lose fat.
.More popular, admired, noticed & respected.
.Physically stronger, faster and super fit.
.Included & accepted into a group.
.Mentally quicker
Come closer and I'll let you in on a little secret ...Anyone can wrestle!
You don't have to be strong, fast, tall or even athletic. Having any one or all of these qualities may help you jump-start into wrestling, but the fact is that because everyone is good at something, every wrestler can become successful at it by adapting a style that best compliments whatever skills they're already good at.
Although wrestling won't make you taller, just by wrestling you will get into tip-top shape while getting stronger and faster with better balance and agility. Increasing All these physical skills will help you in whatever you do.
I like to call it an input sport. "You will get out of it whatever you put into it." You in?
Since we'll be getting a late start, our first match will be shortly after the Holiday vacation.
Practice will start at 3:15. And since I believe that shorter practices with just a bit higher intensity than normal is the best for progressing a wrestler through a full season, our practices will only be 1 1/2 hours long, including warm-up and cool-down.
You'll be in and out like a flash, so you can get back to your schoolwork, family and friends.
I only have three rules for wrestlers who want to be part of Bronxville's group. We'll call them...
Rick's Rules:
1. Be on Time.
2. Pay attention.
3. Wrestle at 101% of your ability when I tell ya.
